I Got Showered
Last night I had my second bridal shower, thrown by the amazing women of my home ward. The cookies speak for themselves.
My first shower was an Anderson family shower at La Jolla Groves thrown by my wonderful grandma a few weeks ago.
And I even have a few more coming up!
I am SO SO SO blessed to have had these little parties just to help Brennan and I get on our feet.
Last night was especially fun because Brennan got to drop by and play a fun game with me.
He had answered the questions earlier, and it was my job to guess his answers.
Out of about 25 questions about my fiancé, I only missed 3. Even I was proud of myself.
One of the questions was: "What is Brennan's favorite thing that you two do together?"
His answer: "make out"
And yes, I got that one right. Nice answer at a ward shower, babe.
Everyone there wanted to talk to him more than me.
But what's new. I'm marrying up.

The Invites
THIS
right here
is the most stressful and time consuming part of the whole entire planning.
And I didn't even address them myself.
These invitations were designed by the lovely Piper Morgan and addressed by my dear Chloee Drews. They are the best in the biz and I can't thank them enough for creating my perfect invitations.
I also can't forget my sweet Brennan who helped line all 430 invites with my mom and I on a Friday night, and his parents for helping me stuff and seal them late last night.
It's just so stressful making sure you don't forget anyone, and deciding between two families who to invite to the wedding dinner and temple ceremony.
I will be so happy when those things are stamped and sent out today and out of my hair forever.
Even though they are pretty to look at.
My mom told Brennan and I the funniest story of a couple she knows that was getting married, and the only job the bride gave the groom was to mail out the invites. So she got the invites all ready- stuffed, sealed, and stamped- and gave them to her groom to take to the post office. So their wedding comes around and no one shows up to their reception. Literally NO ONE except for close family. The bride was crying and so upset why no one showed up, and after, as they were putting their bags in the back seat to go to their honeymoon, she spotted all the invitations.
THE INVITATIONS.
In the back of the groom's car.
So there is a horror story for you.
And the reason my mom and I will be delivering them to the post office.

Happy Friday
It's been a very productive week.
I think it's safe to say we are almost done with the wedding planning, even though every time I say that, something else comes up that needs to be done.
But still, we checked a lot of things off our list this week, and it feels SO good.
This morning, like every morning, I had a date with the stair master,
I then put on my new favorite "motorcycle jeans" from Madewell and my cons for casual Friday,
and have been running the office errands while
"Closer" by Tegan and Sara,
"Who You Love" by John Mayer and Katy Perry,
and "Roar" by Katy Perry (can you tell I love her)
have been on repeat rotation all day.
It's a happy Friday.
My night will be spent lining envelopes and stuffing our invitations with Bren and my parents,
but I ain't even mad.
XOXO

Kissable Complexions
Yes these are kind of glamour shots... but no, I am not just posting them for fun. I just feel like I need to tell EVERYBODY.
I was planning on just doing my own makeup for my wedding because I LOVE makeup and thought that I know my face better than anyone else.
But when my hair girl told me about a girl named Jade who went to makeup school in California and has her own business called Kissable Complexions, I was kind of interested, and then when I looked at her blog, I was SOLD. Airbrush makeup is the way to go on your wedding day!
I did a trial run with Jade so we could choose what look I was going for. I had her do the lightest airbrush coverage possible and it does not look one bit cakey, like some people think of when they think "airbrush." Then we had fun with the eyes. Jade blew me away with her skills, right down to the contouring of my nose.
I truly believe that getting your makeup done is one of the most important things you can do on your wedding day. You will look at those pictures forever, and getting your makeup professionally done and especially for photography purposes will have you looking flawless in every picture, every angle. To even prove it to you, Jade takes lots of pictures of your done face with both flash and no flash so you can see how well it photographs.
The true test though was the day of my bridals. Like I mentioned in another post, I got sick during my bridals, and would feel like I was going to faint. I would get hot flashes and then get sweaty, and I totally thought my makeup was melting off. But I looked in the car mirror when we were finished and it STILL LOOKED PERFECT! I was in awe. The makeup is waterproof too so I don't have to worry about crying on your wedding day, which I know will be me.

Very Married
I'm not sure I have ever seen a quote that is more me. I think it's because I have always been this way with everything.
In high school, my friends would always give me a hard time for not seriously dating anyone, but I never found anyone worth dating. If I dated someone, I wanted to be very together. And I wanted to be very proud of it.
I never loved a boy before Brennan. If I was going to be in love with a boy, I wanted to be very in love.
But when I know that something's right, I give it 100%. 120% actually. I do everything with a very in front of it. I am so excited to marry Brennan because we will be very married. The most married you could ever be.
We both give our relationship everything we have, 120% of the time. And it's so amazing to see.
For example...
Last week Brennan signed up for his classes at the U. He usually can only work part time when he goes to school because of his class times, but last week he asked me if I would be mad if he took a night class for 3 hours on Wednesday nights. I said of course not! Then he asked if I'd be ok with him taking a class on Saturday mornings for 3 hours and then one super early morning one a few days during the week, and I said of course that's fine but asked him why in the world he would want to take a Saturday morning class and three hour night class.
He explained that he did his schedule this way so he could work full time and make more money for us and still go to school full time.
I sat there and thought to myself that in my future husband's eyes, I am worth a Saturday morning class.
It's moments like that when I learn that Brennan loves me more than I can even comprehend.
And I can't wait for us to be very married in ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!

The best wedding outfits have ARRIVED
I was a little hesitant to post this because I don't want to give too much away before the wedding, but I couldn't help myself when these finally came in the mail today. Can you blame me? Look at these flower girl dresses!
My two flower girls are my future niece Greta Gregory and my favorite baby Jayda Kehl.
And I think it's safe to say these two are going to steal the show on September 19th.
NEW YORK CITY
So the goal was for these pictures to go in order of the trip. But I'm a blogger rookie, and they actually loaded backwards. So like Drake says, start from the bottom.
I am so extremely blessed that I got to go to New York City this summer. Let me explain: my dad's business allows him to win trips if he sells enough for the companies he works for. My dad is the hardest worker I know, and because of that, I have been able to go to some amazing places like Greece, Italy, the Caribbean, all different parts of Mexico, and tons of the most beautiful places in the US. You should hear where my parents have traveled to! It really is the best and I am so blessed to have a dad who works so hard for our family. He worked hard to win this trip, but then had to work even harder so my sister, Brennan and I could go too, and he did it! Let's just have a moment of silence for how amazing Lance is.
We had to make this trip somewhat quick because my dad and Brennan could only take so much time off with a wedding right around the corner! But I can honestly say we made the most of the time we had there, and it was an absolute blast. Unfortunately, some of my favorite parts of the trip I forgot to photograph, like shopping at Madewell, Tory Burch, and Zara, and eating at my all time favorite restaurant Rosa Mexicano. Here is a run down of our trip:
Friday:
-Arrived in NEW YORK CITY
-Dropped our bags off and headed Guy's American, one of New York's best restaurants.
-Explored Times Square
-Shopped 5th Avenue until we couldn't feel our legs.
-My parents and sister then went to dinner, and Brennan and I ate pizza off the street for a dollar a slice, and then shared a lemon bar at Magnolia's bakery. Dinner and dessert for $5, beat that.
-Bren and I then spent the rest of the night exploring the city. We walked to Madison Square Garden, The Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Station.
Saturday:
-Breakfast at a farmer's market in Times Square
-Yankees game
-rested, freshened up, and headed to Rosa Mexicano, a restaurant where a man with a cart full of avocados comes to your table and makes the most amazing guacamole in the world right before your very eyes and their enchiladas melt in your mouth.
-My family headed back to the room (my parents had their own room and Ari shared with Bren and I), and Bren and I headed to Serendipity, the place famous for their frozen hot chocolate. We got there at about eleven thirty at night and there was still an hour wait! We were so glad we waited.
Sunday:
-Woke up and headed to central park
-Ate at the famous waffle truck Wafles and Dinges. SO GOOD.
-Strolled Central Park for hours.
-Lance was picked to participate in a street show that was going on there which was hilarious to watch.
-Hurried back to go see MOTOWN, a broadway show that was paid for by the company who sent us on the trip! The show was amazing and the music from it is still stuck in my head.
-Ate at Sardi's, a famous restaurant in New York
-Went to The Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center and saw the entire city from the top of a very very very very very tall building.
-Brennan grabbed some pizza on the street and we headed back to the room.
Monday:
-Bren and I woke up early and took the subway to Brooklyn Bridge. It was breath taking and so worth losing a little sleep over.
-Met my family at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park, the absolute favorite New York food.
-Shopped on SoHo (the best shopping in New York) and Canal street for hours.
-Headed back to the hotel to freshen up and take a twenty minute nap.
-My family took a boat ride around the Statue of Liberty and had dinner on the boat while Bren and I went to our SECOND Yankees game. Bren is a huge Yankees fan and I would do anything in the world to make him happy. He was like a little boy there. The first game was during the day, so it was super hot, and they lost, and the second game was a night game which was the perfect temperature and they won, so it was nice to end on a good note!
-Headed back to Manhattan, where Bren grabbed some more pizza on the street and bought some more Yankees stuff at their store in Times Square.
The best part of the whole trip was just seeing Brennan experience New York for the first time. He's such a passionate person and it was so cool to see him fall so in love with all the New York has to offer. I can't wait until we can visit again together!
